Master Form V4 Performs for Kelley Rao of Webeze
I think I first learned about the Bontragers and their software in 2002 (maybe even earlier!). As I recall, we chose to use Master Form on a client's site because we needed the ability to create customized coupons and capture the data in a database. This helped my client determine which of her radio advertising campaigns were most successful.
Since then, we have used a variety of Bontrager scripts- most recently Pro.Rate™. (Very cool, I might add).
My best implementation of Master Form V4, so far, was turning our printed Website Planning Guide into the electronic WPG..
The problem (or challenge as I like to say) was that we needed a script that could accumulate all of the data submitted through several pages and then compile it into an easy to read document.
I contacted the Bontragers with my vision; they said "sounds like a mission for MF" and off we went.
Website Planning Guide
The landing page of our Website Planning Guide is here. (Note we are now offering this to other developers!)
When people complete this form (which of course uses Master Form V4), they are sent an autoresponders email with a link to click to download our guide. (That way I ensure they give me a correct email address.)
That document provides instructions on completion of the handwritten guide, including sending them to the starting page of the electronic WPG.
From there, they just refer to the guide they previously jotted notes on, enter them in and continue on to the next page.
We show a progress bar on the top of the page to let them know how far along they are.
Great Clients!
One thing I've learned since we implemented this tool on our site: the clients (or potential clients) that take the time to complete this are usually the ones that actually become clients, and good ones at that.
So even if just a small percentage of the people that download our guide actually complete it, we are happy with the results of this tool. Plus it helps us put together a very comprehensive and competitive quote.
We get a beautifully laid out document via email that is easy to read (vs. trying to read someone's handwriting) and we can easily share this document with our team.
Another great feature is our clients also receive a legible copy that they can print and have for future reference.

The more I use Master Form V4 and the more I know what it can do, the more I just love it. I've got 2 more orders pending just because of the easy to implement autoresponders. Plus, I feel this software is more secure that others, so I don't worry about people hacking scripts and jeopardizing my client's sites.
Part of my trust and love of the Bontrager's products is the fact that I can always reach them, the owners, and they have consistently come through for me in many, many ways.
It's just reassuring to know that if I do need help, they are just an email away.
