Unique Style Sheet For Printer-Friendly Page

Web pages that look good in a browser aren't always ideal for printing.

To help those pages is why Master PFP (Master Printer-Friendly Page) was created. It takes a web page and generates a printer-friendly version.

If you wish to use a style sheet needs to help format the page into a printer-friendly version, the style sheet can be specified this way:

<!-- BEGIN_PRINTER_FRIENDLY_COPY <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://example.com/file.css"> END_PRINTER_FRIENDLY_COPY -->

Insert the above somewhere in the BODY area, preferably as early as possible following the <body...> tag.

Because the insert is between comment tags, the original page won't pick it up. However, when Master PFP makes a printer-friendly version of the page, it removes the BEGIN... and END... lines. And that allows the new style sheet to be live.

Addendum: Someone just mentioned that an existing background image can be removed by putting this line into the style sheet for the printer-friendly page:

background-image: none;
