Why We Run Our Affiliate Program the Way We DoBy Will Bontrager We no longer let ClickBank pay commissions on our products. Too many people were using it as a personal discount mechanism. Now, we have our own affiliate program. The affiliate agreement allows affiliates to commission their own purchases so long as they make an equal amount of commission during the month on sales to others. It lets us award active affiliates and thwarts those who sign up only for discounts. Also, we can now restrict affiliate status to those who use or have used our software. This reduces unqualified competition and lets those who actually know our software have a better chance for sales.
