Traveling and Software ProgrammingBy Will Bontrager As most of you know, we live in a motor home, parking at this place and that place and manage our Internet businesses and take care of our customers. But I can't drive and program at the same time. And I can't answer queries or write a newsletter. Mari and I found out that when you run a business from a motor home, the traveling is time off. The driving, watching the scenery, nodding to other travelers on the road, these activities are all quite different from sitting at a keyboard. It takes some time to reorient after we park for the evening. Oftentimes, urgent email and any support requests are all we get done before retiring for the night. Except for personal communication, automation allows our Internet businesses to take care of themselves while we travel. Purchases are made, products are delivered, Google ads are clicked on, previously written blog entries are posted, and even the Possibilities ezine can be queued for delivery at a date in the future. This blog entry is an example. Because of keyboarding done earlier, the entry was posted early in the morning while I rested from a short day of driving.
