Where Is Willmaster.com Hosted?By Will Bontrager Where Is Willmaster.com Hosted? We're asked about where we host more often of late. This is a good place for the answer. We're back with the same company we started with, albeit they now have a different name. Back in the late 90's it was iServer.com. Now, it's viaverio.com. (NOTE: It is not verio.com, but viaverio.com) The reason we're back with the same company is because of their awesome tech support. Period. Everywhere else we've been has lacked in that department. iServer spoiled us, I guess. The server we're using is the FreeBSD virtual private server at http://viaverio.com/index.cfm?page_id=92 These people have provided Unix virtual private servers for many years. Don't know how long, but at least a decade. Recently, I found they were also offering Linux servers. I can not recommend their Linux servers because I've never used them for our own web sites. But I do recommend their FreeBSD Unix servers. Again, to be clear, I'm recommending viaverio.com and not verio.com. Viaverio.com is the the only company I've known that has better tech support than pre-sales support. Viaverio.com assumes you know or can readily learn how to operate a virtual private server. If you prefer someone else take care of all the server's technical details, so you don't have to be bothered with them, consider publisher-for-you.com for your web site. They, too, are good at what they do. If neither viaverio.com nor publisher-for-you.com are quite right for you, we're partnering with RealMetrics to provide unbiased metrics of some important services hosting companies are expected to provide. Metrics include uptime, web speed, and support response time. Click here for hosting company metrics. February 24, 2008 Please note: Articles on this website are presented "as is".
