Electronic MarketingBy Will Bontrager Tom Antion, a great speaker and speaker coach, just came out with a new book, "(The Ultimate Guide to) Electronic Marketing for Small Business." I did some work for his web site, many years ago, and he remembered me! He sent me a copy of his book and didn't ask or even suggest anything in return. What a guy. Instead of opening to the table of content titles, I usually go for the index at the back of the book to get a feel for whether or not I will like it. It's the index with it's nitty gritty details that gives me a better feel for what's inside. (If it doesn't have an index, you gotta wonder if it has any details at all, or if the author just couldn't be bothered with providing that tool.) Electronic Marketing has 10 pages of index. I saw things like "Wave editor program," "Testing," "keywords," "downloadable products," "guarantees," "Adwords," "CGI script," and "CDs, packaging." That was enough. I went straight to the Product Development section. Now, there is stuff I can use! Thinking about creating your own products? Read that section. Audio, video, ebooks. CDs, publication rights — those are a few things covered in that section. Another section is named "Mechanics of Website Sales." A real book. 294 pages. 7 sections. You'll love it.
