A WebSite's Secret Update - April 23, 2008

1. In the WebSite Features section - "Searcher Welcome Message"

When searchers click to your web page from any of the "Big 3" search engines, let them know you appreciate their click.

A custom welcome message may be presented exclusively for those site visitors. The identity of the search engine and/or the search terms used to find your web page may optionally be part of the message.

2. In the Behind the Scenes Tools - "Go Short URL"

Make short URLs with your domain name (not the domain name of a short URL service). Another use is to mask affiliate or other links. Put short URLs in emails, forums, ezines, and content published on web pages.

The software is on your domain. The database is on your domain. In other words, you have control.

Any web page URL can be made into a short URL. Demo at http://www.willmaster.com/go2/GoShortURL.php with password: demo (redirect is disabled in demo).

The software is PHP and uses MySQL.

Note: The installation instructions have been updated with .htaccess lines to work with both the older and latest versions of Apache.
