Subject: Access database

I bought a copy of Master Form 4 and it is working really well. Thanks for an excellent product.

One of my clients is inquiring as to whether the dbfile field will allow the script to connect to an Access database. I would think the file format of Access might be too complicated to deal with. What database formats can work without an agonizing amount of trial and error?

John, I'm glad it's working well for you. And we appreciate the kudos.

The software will only create and append to plain text files. These can be pretty much any format, so long as it is plain text -- CSV, tab-delimited, block, etc.

If the file is created as a CSV file, it can be downloaded and imported into pretty much any of the currently popular spreadsheet programs for Windows, Macintosh, or Linux desktop computers. I believe the manual has an example; if not or if it is insufficient, please let me know.
