Subject: cant located sendmail file/ cant change chmod permissions

i dont know where my sendmail file is on my server.

so i tried to use the MasterPreInstaller.cgi to find it, but when i tried to set the execution permissions to:
owner -- read/write/execute
group -- read/execute
world -- read/execute

i got this message:[MasterPreInstallationTester.cgi]
COMMAND:> SITE CHMOD 755 MasterPreInstallationTester.cgi
502 Command 'SITE' not implemented

and then my server said that there was an error in the coding

Mike, if you can't change script and directory permissions with your FTP program, even though your FTP program has a permissions change feature, then I suggest it's time to contact your hosting company's server admin or tech support.

Unless your server is running on a windows operating system, in which case you probably wouldn't be able to change permissions; server admin would have to do it for you. Note also that windows servers rarely have sendmail, and that Master Series CGI programs might need some modification to work on windows servers -- we build and test on Unix/Linux.
