This software will compare one sitemap file with another and generate "redirect 301" lines suitable for .htaccess files. Before using this generator, both sitemap files need to be on your computer ready for uploading.

Sitemap files can be lists of URLs, Google-style XML sitemaps, or HTML sitemaps.

The URLs in the sitemap files need to be absolute http://... URLs or URLs relative to the document root (start with a "/" character). Examples:

http://example.com/books/prices.html
/books/prices.html

The two types of URLs may be intermixed in the sitemap.

1.
Specify the file on your computer that is the sitemap of the old web page locations.

Specify the file on your computer that is the sitemap of the new web page locations.

What is the http://... URL to the domain home page of the new web page locations (http://example.com/)?

4.
If the file name may have changed when web pages were moved from the "before" web page location to the latest location, check those applicable:
a. The file name extension might have changed.
b. Capitalization might have changed.
c. Non-alphanumeric characters might have changed.

5. The generated text will be presented in this web page ready for copying.
