All modifications to the software must be made with an ASCII/plain text word processor (NotePad and TextWrangler are good). Also, when you upload the script, it must be uploaded as ASCII/plain text.

Verify the first line of this script points to the location of perl on your server.
Decide where to install this software. It must be:
In a directory allowed to run Perl CGI scripts.
Where the script can be accessed with a https://... URL (not http://...)
Where the files are (or will be) that this software will access. This software can only open and remove files in the directory and subdirectories where it is installed.
Install this software by uploading the script into the directory decided upon and giving the script 755 permissions.
Access your control panel by putting the URL of the uploaded script file into your browser. It must be a https://... URL (not http://...). Example: https://example.com/cgi-bin/SecureView.cgi
When you first access of the control panel, you will be asked to provide a password for future access.
Note: The software will try to create a data directory. If it can not, or if it can not create a file in the data directory, the software will let you know how to proceed.
