PHP Pre-Installation Tester

With PHP Pre-Installation Tester, you can test your server to see if it meets a PHP script's requirements before you buy/download and try to install it. (To test for Perl CGI scripts, see Master Pre-Installation Tester.)

Use this software to:

  1. Test if the MySQLi or PDO_MySQL extensions are available.

  2. Test a connection to MySQL or a specific database.

  3. See whether or not PHP is configured so it can create files and directories on your server.

  4. Find out lots of information about your PHP installation:

    • General information — Configuration file location, build date, web server info, system info, more.

    • Loaded modules and their settings.

    • Environment variables information.

    • Predefined variables from environment, GET, POST, cookie, and server.

    • Current local and master values for PHP directives.

    • PHP license information.
