Master Form V4 Forms On Other Domains

Master Form V4 is licensed to be installed on one domain. However, the forms can be published on any domains.

Here is a quick way to learn how to make forms for another domain.

  1. Make the form on a test web page at the domain where Master Form V4 is installed.

  2. Use the full http://... URL to Master Form V4 as the form tag's action= value.

  3. When the test form works, move the form to the other domain.

  4. Change the name="redirect" hidden field value to the full http://... URL of the thank-you page.

Any email and database templates the form uses remain at the domain where the software is installed, no matter where the form is moved to. That's for security, so not just anyone can use your software installation for their own purposes.

When ready to make more forms for other domains, remember to

  1. Put full http://... URLs for both the action= value and the name="redirect" value.

  2. Email and database templates are accessed at the domain where the software is installed.

(When updating a database file, the file will also be on the domain where the software is installed.)

The Using Master Form V4 From Many Domains blog post contains more information about using forms on domains other than where Master Form V4 is installed.
